Hello! My name is Richard Barney. Born and raised in the South Puget Sound region of Washington, I had the chance to move to Grand Rapids (via Baltimore) in 2010 with my wife and 2 children. Studying at Grand Valley State University gave me the opportunity to study with and perform with local musicians, including members of our own Grand Rapids Symphony.
What to Expect
At Bells Up, my aim is to help you cultivate a love of instrumental music and its performance; to encourage a healthy mentality of ambitious improvement; and, most importantly, to help you enjoy the journey of self-expression through musical exploration.
